Deployment

Full on-site deployment, integration, testing, and handover.

We don't leave until it works — and we document everything.

Installing a data diode or CDR solution is not like racking a switch. The hardware is only part of it. Getting the proxies right, configuring protocol handling, testing that the one-way enforcement actually holds, and making sure your operators know how to monitor and maintain it — that is where deployments succeed or fail.

We have deployed airgap solutions in industrial plants, government facilities, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure environments. We know what goes wrong on-site and how to prevent it. We work methodically, we test thoroughly, and we hand over a system that your team understands and can operate.

Deployment can follow our design service or be based on a design from your own team or another party. Either way we take full responsibility for making it work.

How we deploy
01

Pre-deployment preparation

Before arriving on-site we review the design, confirm hardware availability, prepare configuration files, and align with your team on access requirements, maintenance windows, and any site-specific constraints. No surprises on the day.

02

Physical installation

We install and rack all hardware, cable it according to the design, and verify physical connectivity. For industrial or harsh environments we follow appropriate procedures for DIN rail mounting, EMC considerations, and power requirements.

03

Configuration and integration

We configure data diode proxies, protocol converters, and CDR policies according to the design. We integrate with your existing systems — syslog collectors, file servers, OPC UA historians, MQTT brokers — and verify that data flows correctly through the one-way channel.

04

Security testing

We verify that one-way enforcement holds — attempting reverse communication and confirming it is physically blocked. For CDR deployments we test sanitisation against representative file types and confirm that cleaned files remain functionally usable. We do not sign off on a deployment until it passes.

05

Documentation and handover

We produce as-built documentation covering the final configuration, any deviations from the original design, and operational procedures. We walk your team through the system, answer questions, and confirm they are confident operating and monitoring it independently.

How we work

What to expect from us on-site

We test everything

Every data flow, every protocol, every sanitisation policy. We do not rely on assumptions about what should work — we verify it does.

We document as we go

Configuration changes, test results, and deviations from design are recorded in real time. You leave with accurate as-built documentation, not a promise to write it up later.

We train your team

A deployment is only complete when your team can operate and monitor the solution independently. We include hands-on walkthrough and Q&A as standard.

We stay until it works

If something is not right we fix it before we leave. We do not hand over a system with open issues and a promise to resolve them remotely.
